When you’re a cat lover, you don’t just want to cuddle with your kitty—you want to share that cuddle with other people who love cats as much as you do. That’s why the world’s first cat cafe opened in Taipei, Taiwan in 1998. Now, cat cafes have spread all over the world: there are more than 300 of them in Japan alone! But what exactly is a cat cafe?
A cat cafe is just like any other coffee shop—except that instead of buying an espresso or latte and sitting down to drink it quietly by yourself, you come in and pay for an hour at the table where you’ll be able to sit and drink your coffee while playing with dozens of cats from around the world. Some cafes even have themes, like “Underwater Cat Cafe,” which features all white cats wearing snorkels and goggles. Singapore is a great destination for cat lovers. There are many cat cafes in Singapore, where you can have coffee and cuddle with cats. Here are the top 7 best cat cafes in Singapore!
Before we get to the list, if you are looking for the best cafes and restaurants in Singapore, you can check out this link:
1. Meomi Cat Café
Meomi Cat Cafe is the place to be on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Located in the heart of North Bridge Road, this cafe has a selection of adorable ragdoll cats for you and your friends to relax with. Most of the cats here are ragdoll breeds, with fluffy, timid personalities that make them perfect for cuddling.
If you’re looking for a cozy place to spend some quality time with your friends and family while also enjoying some nice coffee or tea and conversation, Meomi Cat Cafe is highly recommended. The room is quite small yet cozy, so it’s best if you come with only one or two others. You may also want to bring your snacks as well—the cafe doesn’t offer much beyond drinks. A one-hour visit costs about $13 including one drink (though there are discounts for longer visits).

The Cat Cafe at the Railmall is the perfect place to come if you love cats, coffee, tea, and pastries. The Cat Cafe is home to 14 cats with ages ranging from 3 to 6+. The younger cats tend to be more playful and active (except during their nap time), so if you’re looking for a calm cat that will hang out with you while you drink your coffee or tea, this might not be the best place for you. However, if you’re looking for an energetic feline companion who will play with you while you sip your favorite caffeinated beverage, this would be a great choice!
All of the cats at The Cat Cafe are adopted strays who were rescued by local animal shelters. They offer freshly brewed coffee and top-notch tea along with freshly baked pastries. 6. We are the Furballs
We are the Furballs, Singapore’s first dog petting cafe. If you love dogs but don’t have one, or maybe you do and just want to play with some more, then come on down! They are located in the heart of town and we’ve got a whole bunch of adorable pups waiting to meet you. The entry fee is $12.50 for the first 1.5 hours or part thereof. Just bring your snacks and drinks—they’ve got some water bowls for the dogs to drink from and some food bowls for them to eat out of, but it’s BYOB!
They want their guests to feel comfortable playing with our dogs, which is why we ask that all guests keep their distance while they pet them. While none of their dogs bite, most of them are not comfortable when strangers touch them because they’ve never before been exposed to so many people at once. They also ask that you don’t try to get too close by leaning over or putting your hands around their necks—it can be scary for them if they’ve never experienced something like that before!
